Facing the re-tendering of their Supporting People contract in the first quarter of 2008, Rush House's Management Board engaged the services of DHRinterim to support them in the preparation of their bid to retain this high-quality, well respected service.

Commencing the assignment in October 2007, DHRinterim were initially asked to support Rush House in the preparation of a formal response to consultation on the draft Tender and Specification released by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council's Supporting People team.

A key objective for Rush House, in engaging the expertise and skills of DHRinterim's Consultants, was to ensure that they were well prepared for the tender process.

  • We recommended using the consultation period as an opportunity to assess Rush House's readiness for the actual tendering activities

Supporting the Management Team throughout December, DHRinterim reviewed initial drafts of tender responses, based on the specification framework that was released for consultation, together with the OGC standardised PQQ format.

Moving into 2008 DHRinterim is providing an interim bid-writer to support Rush House develop their formal tender response

  • the objective of our involvement is to maximise Rush House's chances of retaining their current service
  • instrumental to delivering on this objective will be to develop a value-for-money bid which focuses on delivering the required outcomes and reducing the cost of the service over the next 3 years
